Facebook may release its core C++ library
Facebook is considering open sourcing at least one of its C++ libraries. Facebook uses C++ heavily on its back-end systems. This is of course for performance reasons. Facebook obviously cares more about its back-end than its front-end, which means its C++ code must be pristine, at least when compared to its PHP code. Seems like the FBI is winning
After legal action against file-sharing sites Megaupload and The Pirate Bay BTJunkie one of the 5 biggest torrent indexing site has voluntary shut down.
The site was never involved in any legal action, and to keep it this way the site’s operators decided to shut the site down for good today. The following message was posted on the BTjunkie homepage a few minutes ago:
